‘Hollingsville’ Update

I am very pleased to announce that ‘Hollingsville’ will be returning to Resonance 104.4 FM for a new series in October. In the meantime, I am presenting a ‘Hollingsville’ special on Thursday September 2 at 7.00pm:

‘Film: The Music of the Future’ – the Cinema of Hans-Jürgen Syberberg

‘No human story, but a story of mankind, no disaster film, but disaster as a film. The end of the world, Deluge, the cosmos biting the dust’ - H J Syberberg

Guests Tai Shani and Chris Bohn and I will be discussing the passionate cinematic vision of Hans-Jürgen Syberberg prior to an all-day screening of the controversial director’s seven-hour masterwork ‘Hitler: A Film from Germany’. Check the Resonance FM schedule for more details.

The Horse Hospital will be showing this amazing film on September 4, 2010 - for more information on this unique event, for which I have been asked to contribute a brief introductory talk, please click here.

good news indeed...

in the meantime, do you know if ResonanceFM be adding Part 11 of Hollingsville to their podcast archive anytime soon?

all set to get myself lost in that behavioural labyrinth...

Your Highness,

I am afraid Part 11 of Hollingsville never took place as I was in hospital undergoing emergency eye surgery at the time of TX - episode 12 of the original Hollingsville schedule was also cancelled for the same reason. When I return in October for a new series, I will try and get parts 11 and 12 broadcast as originally intended with the same guests - keep checking this blog for more details and updates. The Labyrinth awaits...

ah, I thought your ocular disaster had occurred after episode 11 had gone out. had missed the first few so was working my way through the series from the start. thoroughly enjoying it too...

not that it's a laughing matter or anything but I couldn't help thinking of Lovecraft when I saw your "Polyphemus Navigation" post - all architecture rendered instantly Cyclopean! all geometry now non-Euclidean!

hope your eye is on the mend though. I score high on the Magoo Scale without my glasses & would definitely not like things to get any more amorphous than they already are...
